Learn a little bit about tents, party rentals and our process.
Thank you for checking out Verona Event Rentals. We are a small, family run business whose goal is to provide professional tent rentals and other event rental items to the Madison WI area. We realize not everyone has experience planning events, so here is some helpful information to get you started.
Pick a date for your event. Most events are on Saturday or Sunday. We typically set up tents and deliver equipment on Thursday or Friday and take them down on Monday or Tuesday. The tent/tent package is yours for the weekend, so think about how to best get your money’s worth (host a brunch the next morning, or have friends over for evening drinks and cookout the night before your event). Even if you arent renting a tent, we should coordinate around timing for delivery and pickup. Does your venue require same-day delivery and removal?
How many guests are you expecting? You don’t have to get this exactly right. We understand that you might not have a firm headcount yet, but plan on having everyone protected under the tent in case of rain. We can always add a few extra chairs and an extra table if things change!
Where are we setting up the tent / delivering equipment? Tents can be setup on grass, patio, pavement, etc but we need to know the setup area in advance. For example, tents on cement require ballasting (water barrels or cement blocks) rather than staking. If you arent renting a tent, we just need to know if there are any challenges we should know about for delivery (stairs, access, etc)
Any underground hazards to consider? We use a sledgehammer to drive stakes into the ground roughly 3’ deep. We need to know if there are underground hazards. We may be able to tie off the tent to something study or anchor the tent using water barrels or cement blocks if staking isn’t possible.
Unsure if the tent will fit? Send pics! Snap a few photos of the area to share with us! Having a large event? We will happily offer a site visit.
Still unsure or nervous? Call 811 or Diggers Hotline to have underground hazards marked off.
