Helpful Dance Floor Tips

For a typical wedding, you should assume that 33% of your guests are dancing at any one time (rule of thumb, every event is different).

Each person needs roughly 6 sq feet per person. So, 180 guest wedding * 33% dancing = 60 people dancing = (60 * 6sq feet per person = 360sq feet or roughly an 18x18 floor)

Even more simply put:

  • typical wedding = 18x18 floor minimum

  • our floor are very low-profile, so even if some dancer are spilling off the edges of the floor there isn’t a large drop off

  • when in doubt, go bigger.
